Twilight

An indie-style creative work about finding peace and tranquility in the twilight of chaos. The origional project was created as a 'silhouette project' in an Intro to Graphic Design course.

Objective One: Proficiency in Vector Tracing

Utilize vector tracing techniques to translate real-world reference imagery into clean, high-contrast silhouettes that maintain organic detail and recognizable forms.

Objective Two: Establish Atmosphere and Depth

Create a sense of environmental scale and mood through strategic layering and stark lighting contrasts.

Objective Three: Establish Core Message

Use color, composition, and contrast to evoke a specific emotional response from the viewer, conveying a sense of tranquility amidst the chaos of life.

First Draft

Overall, the design failed to demonstrate a strong understanding of image tracing, or establish a clear mood or message.' Key Issues:

  • Poor Use of Color Theory
  • Unusual Composition
  • Inaccurate Edges on Silhouette

First Draft

Second Draft
